What remains...by Martha T. Tucker
The following images are from Martha T. Tucker, who is also photo editor for Belfort and Bastion.
Martha Trudeau Tucker, a retired senior lecturer in education from Tufts University in Massachusetts, now lives in Albuquerque, NM. Her fascination with cameras and their magic began with her first Kodak Brownie and has continued through 35mm and digital. During recent years, the ocean, clouds, and the mountains and desert have been the main subjects of her photography. She's also been known to be intrigued by buildings and machines.

Cy Tamura
Cy Tamura's piece, "Collecting Amber," appears in Re.Doubt2. Unfortuately, the version of the work that was in the e-book did not precisely match the artist's vision. For technical reasons, it lacked his original formatting.
So that readers may view the piece as Mr. Tamura actually wanted it to appear, we have placed his original below.

Re.Doubt2
And so we begin Re.Doubt2, the next issue of Belfort and Bastion's literary and artistic magazine.
In the posts that follow you will find the large size, high resolution versions of some of the images included in the e-book version.
Enjoy.

Welcome to Re.Doubt
Welcome to the blog of Re.Doubt!
Re.Doubt is Belfort and Bastion's ongoing series of publications containing works from new and rising artists. We think of it as a cross between a literary magazine and a book— with the speed of publication and flexibility of the former and the relative permanence of the latter. (A magazine may be forgotten, but an e-book will endure forever, or at least as long as e-book readers also exist.)
Re.Doubt is an e-book, but that presents us with a problem. In addition to poetry, prose, and so on, we like to publish photos, graphics, illustrations, and other media. But, at the moment, it is just very difficult to include such things in a mobi file -- at least not at a resolution or scale that we'd like.
So, we have decided we'll provide small versions of the photos and illustrations within the e-book itself. But, then we'll post larger, higher resolution versions of the photos on this blog. Buyers of the books will then be provided the URL of those images and other media.
In this way, we get the best of both worlds -- multimedia and multibooks.
